Last weekend, my wife and I went backpacking for two days in the White Mountains National Forest for our wedding anniversary. Usually, I would bring my Panasonic LX100 on those trips because of the size and versatility. This time, I decided to bring the Fuji X-T20 with the 16-50mm OIS lens and the Rokinon 12mm f/2.
Once a weekly post, My Life's Journey, like the rest of the blog, has taken the back seat for the last two years. It's tough to take the time to write again, but at the same time, I missed this. Like many things in life, the more you do it, the easier it is to find time for it, but skip it a couple of times and it becomes easy to find reasons not to do it.
This week was the annual show of the street dance school that my family and I attend. Yep! We all dance in the family: Hip-Hop, Popping, Funky and Breakdance. I used the GX7 and the LX100. I did not miss carrying around my 5D Mark II with the 70-200mm. Not a bit! Take a peak to see the result.
This week's journey is special. We went on a (too) short family trip to Washington, D.C., last weekend for the Cherry Blossom Festival. I told my wife many years ago that I wanted to go there in the Spring to see all the flowers in the cherry trees. It is not an easy time to travel for us with the kids in school. This year, I decided it would be a treat for my daughter's birthday and mine.
This week marks the beginning of a new kind of post. Or is it an ongoing process? I am not too sure, but since many people liked My First week with the LX100 and Another week with the LX100, I decided to start a weekly post along those lines.
