Last weekend, my wife and I went backpacking for two days in the White Mountains National Forest for our wedding anniversary. Usually, I would bring my Panasonic LX100 on those trips because of the size and versatility. This time, I decided to bring the Fuji X-T20 with the 16-50mm OIS lens and the Rokinon 12mm f/2.
This week's journey is special. We went on a (too) short family trip to Washington, D.C., last weekend for the Cherry Blossom Festival. I told my wife many years ago that I wanted to go there in the Spring to see all the flowers in the cherry trees. It is not an easy time to travel for us with the kids in school. This year, I decided it would be a treat for my daughter's birthday and mine.
That was a fun week. It started with a BBoy workshop and ended with our 21st anniversary of being in love my wife and I. Add a snow storm to that and that gives good looking photos.
It seems winter is not sure if it should come or go. We went from snow, to melting warm, to freezing cold in just a couple of days. Let's see how it affected us.
This week marks the beginning of a new kind of post. Or is it an ongoing process? I am not too sure, but since many people liked My First week with the LX100 and Another week with the LX100, I decided to start a weekly post along those lines.
Late September. Beautiful weather. Perfect time for hiking in the Adirondacks. Here is a recap of our short trip to Lake Placid, NY and our ascension of the Giant Mountain.
Last Saturday, I filmed a workshop for a friend. I wanted to see how easy it would be to mix the LX100 and the GH4 footage together.

I showed a couple of things (video related) to my 9 years old son and he did great for a first try. You can see and judge by yourself here.
Take every opportunity you have to practice and learn new things... and have fun doing it :)
